Why screening?

Currently most of us believe in a health-care system based on DISEASE management, where we wait for a disease to occur, and then suffer the consequences which involves lengthy and expensive treatment, and at most times the diseases are irreparable.

Apple A day however believes in a health care based on GOOD HEALTH management where we strive to prevent a disease coming into our lives.

To achieve this Apple A Day has set up India's first exclusive preventive health care system laboratory, and the method we use is a simple process called screening where a battery of tests are conducted periodically to completely prevent a critical disease coming into our lives, if not at least delay it.

Do you know how critical diseases are acquired?

There are 4 main factors for a person to acquire critical diseases like heart disease, different kinds of cancer, kidney and liver failure, even silent killers like diabetes and thyroid.

1.Stress: Is an integral part of today's lifestyle, like stress at work, stress at home and also while commuting.

2.Sedentric lifestyle: Due to today's heavy duty stress levels we have in our day to day lives, many of us tend lead sedentric lifestyles with an indulgence in junk food, smoking and drinking habits ,lack of regular exercise and lack of proper sleep.

3.Genes: transfer of diseases from one generation to the next.

4.Age: An irreversible process by which health deteriorates over time.

  • Another important finding is that an average Indian lives up-to the age of 63 but where-as a Japanese or Australian lives up to 86 probably because they respect the body that they live in.
